Mediterranean Common House

Lo IASEM è il promotore del network MCH – Mediterranean Common House, una rete cui aderiscono al momento 21 membri, tra Fondazioni, Centri di Ricerca, Università e Associazioni, basati in 16 Paesi (Turchia, Italia, Spagna, Grecia, Romania, Croazia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Cipro del Nord, Giordania, Tunisia, Marocco, Cina, Singapore, Emirati Arabi Uniti).

Ciascun Partner ha aderito sottoscrivendo il Manifesto della Civiltà Mediterranea, un manifesto in 10 articoli, che contiene i valori a cui si ispira il Network. Il Manifesto viene sottoposto alla firma di autorità e intellettuali da tutto il Mediterraneo.

Il Network ha l’obiettivo di promuovere degli spazi concreti di dialogo e riflessione in tutto il Mediterraneo, con il fine di generare una sensibilità comune, volta a istaurare un clima di rispetto e conoscenza reciproci, scambi proficui e mutua collaborazione. Il network vuole sperimentare un processo di “abitazione” di una casa comune e la creazione di uno spazio di confronto a più livelli, con l’intento di far muovere le idee e scambiare esperienze intellettuali e umane.

Decidere di vivere in “case comuni” significa operare un salto culturale. Vuol dire scegliere deliberatamente il rispetto al posto della contrapposizione. Vuol dire scegliere la condivisione al posto dell’interesse particolare. La cooperazione al posto dell’antagonismo. La responsabilità personale e sociale al posto della resa a piani che appaiono preordinati.
